TORONTO, Nov. 28, 2017 /insPRESS/ – In the spirit of building transparency with the broker community, APRIL CEO Nick Kidd writes a regular open letter to the Canadian broker community.
This month, Nick takes the opportunity to thank brokers for supporting APRIL in the recent Insurance Canada 5 star MGA award, together with the nomination for MGA of the Year at the Insurance Awards in November. Nick’s open letter to brokers follows:
Dear all,
It was great to see many of you in Ottawa in late October for the IBAO convention. It’s always a fantastic opportunity to meet lots of brokers in rapid succession, listen to their stories and also get feedback on the market in general. Given that brokers are our clients, we like to dedicate as much time as possible across our management team to listening and learning. As I write, several members of my team are in Quebec City at the RCCAQ convention and sadly, for the first time in four years, I was unable to be there in person.
In our various broker meetings, we’ve been receiving some very positive feedback this year. This centers mainly around the speed of our service and the flexibility and solution orientation of our team. Our product range has also been widening with new solutions launched for professionals, financial services organizations, cyber, and an increased appetite around many classes of residential, e.g. Airbnb.
It was also fantastic for us to be recognized by many of our brokers in the Insurance Business 5-star MGA awards, and also nominated as finalist in the 2017 Insurance Business Awards for MGA of the Year. The big awards night is on 30th November, and I’m looking forward to attending another great evening with many of you.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank many of you who have supported us through your nominations, votes and feedback. More importantly, I want to thank you for your continued support this year with every new client enquiry, submission or renewal. Whilst it’s cliché, we believe every opportunity is important, and our team is genuinely grateful for our fantastic broker relationships.
We know that we’re not perfect – and whilst you, as brokers, are raising your games, we hope to be right there with you in the process. Being faster, more accessible and more connected are all objectives for our business. We’re determined to continue developing and evolving at a fast pace to support you in winning and retaining your customers and will keep meeting and listening to your thoughts on the journey.
We will connect again before the end of the year, but in the meantime, it’s time to dust off the snow shovels, put on the snow tires, and cross our fingers that we have a benign winter!
Best regards,
Nick
