Somatoform Disorders – Recognizing Early Signs
Dr. Duncan Veasey, Annapolis Valley Health Dept. of Psychiatry

Dr. Veasey will present on somatoform disorders and how to recognize the early signs and what to look for in the context of litigation matters. The discussion will include the clinical symptoms, the diagnostic classifications and criteria, the role of biological, psychological and socio-cultural factors, the assessment, the treatment and prognosis, as well as the difference between somatoform disorders and factitious disorders and malingering.

Medical Marijuana – What To Expect From Physicians
Dr. Michael Boucher, Assessmed
Dr. Boucher will be discussing how medical marijuana works as an analgesic, assessing whether to prescribe it for that purpose, and what types are used for pain management.


Procedural Case Law Update – What the Courts are Telling Us On How They Want Things Done
