IBAO Unveils Learner-Focused E-Learning Experience

August 24, 2018   by Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario

TORONTO, ON August 21, 2018 /insPRESS/ – The Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario (IBAO) is pleased to announce the launch of its new learning management system, My IBAO Learning Path. The custom-built platform brings a seamless user experience to members and those interested in joining the industry alike.

“Educational needs are constantly evolving in the digital era — that was the fundamental motivation for developing My IBAO Learning Path,” said IBAO CEO, Colin Simpson. “This new platform will not only enhance the educational experience of our current and future members, it will ensure that educational content is high-quality, modern and engaging.”

“All IBAO courses have been completely rebuilt for this launch, including a ground-up rebuild of our Basic Broker Online Prep Course,” said IBAO Education Supervisor and Instructional Designer, Kevin O’Hare. “Incorporating short videos, interactive design elements and revamped learner materials creates an entirely new and modern format for this licensing course. We’re also offering a new Travel Health Insurance Prep Course to help brokers expand their reach, accredited for 2.5 Technical Hours.”

My IBAO Learning Path includes many new features:

  • E-Learning courses can be accessed directly from www.ibao.org or My IBAO Learning Path library.
  • Learners can start and stop anywhere, take the course again, retake quizzes as often as they wish, on any compatible device, anywhere.
  • Many courses are available for IBAO Members within the platform’s library as reference material after a user has taken the course.
  • Accreditation Letters are created and updated within the platform, providing a full-cycle user experience.

“With further expansion to the educational platform set to follow, there is much to look forward to. There is a lot more to come from IBAO Education,” said O’Hare. “We hope that our users are as excited about our new and revamped courses as our team is.”
