business-meeting-colaboration-illustrationMcFarlan Rowlands, an independent brokerage based in southwestern Ontario, has announced its purchase of Callister Musico Insurance Group.

Located in Sarnia, Ont., Callister Musico will become the brokerage’s 15th branch in the province, according to an announcement released by McFarlan Rowlands on Wednesday. The deal, which takes effect July 3, allows McFarlan Rowlands to expand its business and add a new team of professionals in a new market area as it currently does not have an office in Sarnia.

Craig Musico, a partner in the acquired firm, will join the McFarlan Rowlands team and become a shareholder in the firm. Paul Callister, also a partner at Callister Musico, will be retiring as of July 3.  The remainder of the Callister Musico staff will join the McFarlan Rowlands team.

The announcement also notes that the management team at McFarlan Rowlands will remain the same with Rodney Hancock as CEO.

McFarlan Rowlands offers both personal and commercial insurance products and has roots in southwestern Ontario dating back to 1896.
