Small business owners on a budget may be tempted to get by on bare-bones insurance coverage—but claims can arise for a number of unexpected reasons. According to The Hartford, 40% of small business owners are likely to make property or general liability claims in the next 10 years. While reputational harm is the costliest claim, it isn’t the most common, with only 5% of small businesses likely to have a claim.
