ClaimsPro Announces Cyber Claims Specialized Team for Immediate Response to Cyber Losses

Mississauga, ON, August 14, 2019/InsPress/ – ClaimsPro, Canada’s independent adjusting and claims management leader, is pleased to announce the implementation of their new Cyber Claims Unit—a specialized team of experienced adjusters designated to respond immediately to clients who are specifically affected by a cyber loss.

The Cyber Claims Unit will be led by Practice Lead and Cyber Claims Expert, Obi Alhelou, and additionally supported by Art Goguen and Luc-André Girard from BBCG, part of ClaimsPro’s Specialty Risk Division.

As cyber-related losses continue to grow in scope and sophistication, data suggests it is taking longer to detect breaches and more time to contain compared to in the past. It is more important than ever to be prepared with the right team of knowledgeable specialists who can respond quickly to mitigate further damage and risk.

ClaimsPro’s new Cyber Claims Unit provides insurers with easy and direct access to a dedicated group of experienced adjusters. Using a streamlined triaging process, the team has the demonstrated skills to respond immediately to a reported cyber claim, while expediting loss containment and conducting a thorough investigation. The Cyber Claims Unit will leverage ClaimsPro’s strong, established partnerships with technical and forensic investigation experts who specialize in cyber losses.

Leading the Cyber Unit with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, is Obi Alhelou. Mr. Alhelou has an extensive background handling large cyber loss, coupled with additional expertise in Information Technology. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, Mr. Alhelou will rely on personnel and resources throughout the country to assist him.
