Cunningham LindseyMississauga, ON– July 10, 2013

At approximately 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013, a runaway train carrying crude oil derailed in the small, picturesque town of Lac-Mégantic, QC, setting off a series of explosions that destroyed the downtown area. Approximately 30 homes and businesses were completely incinerated.

Cunningham Lindsey has deployed several highly skilled adjusters from the Montreal Commercial Risk Division (CRD), in response to a number of significant Commercial Property and Liability claims that have resulted.

As the investigation continues, access to the area has been highly restricted. Our adjusters are at the scene assessing the damages and working with the provincial authorities who are in control of the site.

EFI Global, Inc. our forensic engineering, fire and environmental services subsidiary are also on standby to deal with any environmental claims.

Our response is being coordinated by Senior Vice President and Executive Director, Lorri Frederick, and Assistant Vice President, Quebec Region, Troy Quigley. For further information please contact:
