Archway Insurance acquires Bay Insurance & Financial

Halifax-based Archway Insurance has acquired Bay Insurance & Financial.

Based in Tantallon, N.S., Bay Insurance & Financial has served local clients for more than a decade.

“We are thrilled to be able to service new and existing clients through the addition of the Bay Insurance location,” Archway president Gina McFetridge said in a release.

Bay Insurance & Financial’s existing location will remain open and all employees—including former owner Ron Bagnell—will join the Archway team.

“As I look toward retirement and spending less time at the office, Archway Insurance provides the right transition for our clients and employees,” Bagnell said. “I trust they are in good hands and will continue to receive the same professional insurance advice and service they have come to expect over the years.”

Bagnell will serve as a commercial consultant with Archway, and plans to retain his life and health benefits business.

Archway now has 23 locations across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
