Brokerage M&A continues in Western Canada

Westland Insurance Group, a western Canadian brokerage, has acquired Cafferky Gilding Insurance Brokers in Burnaby, B.C.

In a news release, Westland said it was “excited to acquire such a professional and respected operation in Burnaby and welcome the experienced Cafferky Gilding team.”

Cafferky Gilding is a family-run brokerage founded by Jim Gilding in 1958 that specializes in personal and commercial lines.

Established in 1980, Westland Insurance has 78 offices in Alberta and B.C.
