Brokers’ top five reads in December

Digital pink slips, brokerage M&A, road safety and leadership changes at Intact rounded out the five most popular stories of the month.

Without further ado, here are December’s top five stories:

1. IBC reveals annual top 10 list of most frequently stolen vehicles

Spoiler alert: eight of the cars on the list are the same vehicle—just different model years.

2. Aviva partners with brokers to launch digital pink slip pilot project

Twelve brokerages in Ontario are now offering digital pink slips to Aviva auto insurance customers.

3. Dalton Timmis acquired by NFP

U.S.-based NFP has expanded its footprint in Canada following its acquisition of Dalton Timmis.

4. Subaru, Hyundai top insurance industry’s safety awards

The list also features vehicles from Kia, Toyota, BMW, Lincoln and Mercedes-Benz.

5. Intact announces leadership changes

Jean-Francois Blais has retired as president of Intact Insurance.
