As the number of strata developments continue to rise, we see a growth in the demand for appropriate insurance coverages to manage the numerous litigation proceedings. Short-term rentals and marijuana legalization are just two of the hot topics requiring strata corporations to adapt. Our panel will provide a broker, legal and consumer perspective on how strata corporations are coping with this rapidly changing strata industry.

– Discuss updates on the Civil Rights Tribunal and its effect on strata and D&O insurers
– Explore how strata corporations are dealing with short-term rentals and impacts on the insurance industry
– Examine the legalization of marijuana and the impact on insuring both residential and commercial strata
– Identify how and why sections are formed in strata and how to properly insure a sectioned strata
– Learn about the upcoming changes to the Strata Property Act
