Ontario’s new Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) launched in June with a fresh approach to achieving safety, fairness and choice in the insurance industry.

On June 8, 2019, FSRA assumed regulatory duties of the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO). FSRA now regulates pensions, credit units, insurance, auto insurance rates, mortgage brokers and other non-securities financial services in Ontario.
