Accident Support Services International

Accident Support Services International Ltd. President Steve Sanderson attended the 2015 ACE Conference in Austin, Texas to present a workshop on Collision Reporting Centers and First Notice of Loss (FNOL) programs. Stephen Applebaum of ISG, ASSI US Representative Ron McBride and Ken Dusenbury, Claim Relationship Director with CAA took part in ASSI’s panel.

This session served as an introduction to ASSI’s unique and very successful model for collision and first notice of loss reporting for members of the American Insurance industry. Accident Support Services International’s experienced panel described in great detail how ASSI’s private-public partnership between law enforcement agencies and auto insurers delivers significant advantages and benefits to participants, including insurers, their policyholders, local police and the community. Benefits include: increased customer service and retention for insurers, one-stop collision reporting services for policyholders, fraud identification and reduction, cycle time reduction, reduced attorney involvement, enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities and a goal of safer roads for all.

The workshop was very well received by attending delegates and many positive comments were offered. Following the workshop, the ASSI team met privately with a number of U.S. insurance representatives to further discuss the establishment of our program in the United States. We look forward to working with the insurance industry to make Collision Reporting Centers a success for insurers, their policyholders and police agencies across the United States.
