Applied Systems appoints Jeffrey D. Purdy senior vice president and general manager for Canada

Canadian insurance industry veteran to oversee Compu-Quote integration and Epic introduction into Canadian market

University Park, Ill. – June 19, 2012 – Insurance software company Applied Systems today announced that Jeffrey D. Purdy has been appointed senior vice president and general manager of Applied Systems Canada.

An Ontario native and a Canadian insurance industry veteran, Purdy will be responsible for Applied Systems’ Canadian operations. He will oversee the integration of Compu-Quote, the leading comparative rating services provider recently acquired by Applied Systems.

In addition, Purdy will lead Applied Systems’ introduction of Epic, the company’s flagship agency and broker management system, into the Canadian marketplace in the first quarter of 2013. Purdy has extensive experience with successful Epic deployments in the United States since the product’s launch in 2008.

Purdy joined Applied Systems’ Canadian operations in 1989, and he was named president of Applied Systems Canada in 1993. He served in that role until 2002, when he relocated to the company’s U.S. headquarters to lead the North American primary sales organization.
