AssessMed is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald Kunkel as President of AssessMed Inc.

Don has over 25 years’ experience within the insurance industry. Over his lengthy career within the insurance sector, Don has worked as an all-lines independent adjuster, a senior AB field rep for a large Canadian insurer; and as the lead adjuster of an SIU division.

In 2001, Don entered the IME space and for four years he owned and operated FAIR Medicals, a nationally recognized independent medical assessment company.  In 2005, Don sold his company to Medisys Health Group and rose to the rank of Vice President of Business Development over his 6 year tenure there. Don played an intricate role in the sale of Medisys’ national IME division in 2011 and after a brief departure from the industry, he returned highly motivated and very inspired by the opportunity to join the AssessMed team.

Don is a highly customer focused management professional. Don’s many years of experience in the Insurance Industry, customer centric approach and passion for the IME business have enhanced AssessMed’s customer service model to exceed the expectations of today’s adjusters, adjudicators, legal professionals and HR consultants.
