Erin Deaton leads the Marine Centre of Excellence at Burns & Wilcox. Growing up on the waters of the Great Lakes and being a lifetime boater, she began her career in insurance 11 years ago, where she worked for both a small agency and one of the largest brokers in the world before settling at a Marine specialty agency which as a MGA served as both a retailer and wholesaler. Now a Senior Underwriter at Burns & Wilcox, her team of marine experts at Burns & Wilcox acts as a personal boat department for brokers, acting as an expert fact finder and ensuring accounts are well-written in the event of a claim or E&O issue.
