Calgary Hail and Wind Expert Training

March 23, 2015   by CRU - Catastrophe Response Unit

CRU Adjusters

There are two things recognized as the keys to accurate and correct understanding of hail and wind claims. The first is the Haag Certified Inspector-Residential Roofs designation and the second is proficiency with Xactimate estimate writing.

On April 21-24, you can get both of these keys.

The Haag Residential Roof course (Apr 21 – 23) is an intensive 3-day certification program developed by expert engineers for intermediate-level professionals. Learn how to identify and differentiate hail and wind damage from other conditions on these roof types: composition, wood shake and shingle, concrete and clay tile, asbestos, metal, slate, fiber cement, and synthetic.

In conjunction with this event, the Academy of Insurance Adjusters (AIA) will be offering a one day advanced exterior damage Estimatics Training (Apr 24), with focus on siding and roof estimating. As Xactimate is the dominant estimating program used by contractors and insurance professionals, this unique course was designed and is taught by a former educator turned independent adjuster, Jonathan Rice.

Both classes will be held at the AIA Center located at 412 53rd Ave SE, Calgary, T2H 0N4. These classes are open to all staff and independent adjusters, all claims personnel, all repair, roofing and contractor personnel. Haag registration fees are $949, but you can save $150 OFF registration with code GSTN234 through this link . AIA Exterior Xactimate training is $189, Haag attendees receive a $25 discount.

Registration is through register@cruadjusters.net or by contacting Jonathan Rice jrice@aiacenters.com, or Lisa Kowalski lkowalski@cruadjusters.com
