Catastrophe Response Unit Delivers when Big Insurer Clients Call

TORONTO, May 10, 2018 /insPRESS/ – Kyle Winston, President and CEO of CRU GROUP, announced today that 5 of Canada’s largest property insurers had already sought and received significant assistance from CRU GROUP’s Catastrophe Response Unit Inc. within the past week.

“Last Friday’s windstorm brought a dramatic increase in the sheer volume of claims – large and small – to our clients. This claims surge has given CRU Canada another opportunity to demonstrate exactly what we can do for our partners under the toughest of circumstances.” said Mr. Winston.

Skip McHardy, Director of Catastrophe Response Canada of CRU GROUP’s Catastrophe Response Unit Inc. describes the challenge, “As of Saturday, our call centre had already started first contacts with assignments and we have currently mobilized over 460 licensed and experienced Property Adjusters. We are very pleased with how fast we have been able to handle the claims as they come in. Our Catastrophe Response team offers a different service than other companies, as we provide adjusters whose qualifications meet our client’s needs. Each of our adjusters is qualified to do ‘full handle’ including writing a complete estimate in multiple systems.

CRU GROUP has become a market leader in the utilization of drone technology for claims adjusting and will be experimenting with several prototypes in the field in the coming week. Mr. McHardy added, “The best ladder safety program will ultimately be using drones.”
