CRU (Catastrophe Response Unit) and Academy of Insurance Adjusting (AIA) Continue Specialty Adjuster Training

Las Vegas, NV. CRU, in partnership with AIA, successfully completed the first of its eight 2016 “Winter Tour” training seminars scheduled throughout the US and Canada. The training is held as a one-day course designed to better prepare and quantify Independent Adjusters for evolving field deployments and evaluate unique skill requirements needed for inside Desk Adjusting. The first training session was held just prior to the the 40th National Assoc. of Catastrophe Adjusters (NACA) Conference.

During the training, systems and platforms from Guidewire, AS400, Xactanalysis, Symbility, ARMS, Mitchell, and W5 were reviewed with tests administered to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each attendee. Adjusters reviewed new metrics and tracking adopted to score claims performance. These CE approved events place a strong focus on preparing adjusters for increased efficiency and a smoother transition to meet specific carrier needs on a timely basis. Unique to the presentation are reviews of the 130 different steps to correctly adjust a property claim and the deconstruction of these steps to better achieve task assignments in a more efficient manner.

Upcoming training and certification events will be held in Orlando, FL; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Denver, CO. CRU expects to reach hundreds of independent adjusters in the US before scheduling Canadian events in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Calgary.
