Cunningham Lindsey Introduces New District Manager Position

Mississauga, ON– July 2, 2013 – Cunningham Lindsey Canada Claims Services Ltd President and CEO Rob Seal announced today the introduction of District Managers to their field operations management structure effective today.

“The insurance industry is evolving in terms of how and when our customers use our services,” said Seal. “We’re seeing a shift to more task based assignments and an emphasis on Account Management with its strict quality and service targets and verifiable proof of our performance against these targets. The District Managers will play a key role in providing an essential level of performance management within our field operation to ensure we meet our client expectations.”

The new District Manager positions will be divided into large regional groups with responsibilities for offices and staff across the country. Their accountability includes improving organizational communication; providing a more balanced and consistent leadership approach on a national basis; participating in the strategic direction of our company; and proven performance in five target areas:  Quality, Financial Management, WIP, Growth and Profitability.

Over the next six months the District Managers will assume accountability for their teams as the role of the Branch Manager is phased out effective January 1, 2014. At that time the traditional Branch Manager role will be replaced with this new district management team.

“Our team has consulted in depth with a number of our clients to fully understand the direction the industry is taking and how firms like ours can best position ourselves as a premier service provider,” said Seal.  “We understand what needs to happen and while the removal of the Branch Manager role from our field operations is a significant change from how we’ve historically managed our business, we believe it’s an important one to do.”

Adds Seal: “We have many Branch Managers who will be assuming Senior Adjuster or Executive General Adjuster roles as a result of this change and who remain critically important to us. However, this type of bold change is what is required to meet the new definition of a fully integrated, quality and service focused service provider our clients are asking us to be both today and in the future.”
