J.D. Farquhar recently joined ENCON, a leading managing general agent in Canada, as an Assistant Vice-President in the company’s Underwriting Management division. His primary focus will be on providing Stand-alone Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance through ENCON’s Alternative Insurance Market. Previously only offered as a complement to other insurance lines, ENCON’s monoline CGL policy targets a broader array of clients across Canada with more varied risk exposures.
J.D. brings to the position his more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on commercial line products. Working in a variety of roles for both managing general agents and a large insurance carrier, he has garnered extensive experience in underwriting, marketing, claims, operations and facultative reinsurance placement.
