Gilbertson Davis LLP welcomes prominent Commercial Litigation and Arbitration Counsel David Alderson to its Team

Gilbertson Davis LLP is pleased to announce that David Alderson has joined its Toronto boutique litigation Firm, which now provides clients with the benefit of his more than 30 years of experience in commercial and insurance litigation and arbitration; including cross border litigation and international arbitration; in areas of practice as diverse as marine insurance and reinsurance, product liability; international sale of goods disputes; commercial and business disputes, IT, IP, technology, and internet litigation; maritime law and international trade, franchise, distribution and licensing; as well as acting for victims of civil fraud.

 

David often acts for a wide variety of businesses and industries where there is an international dimension or a need for urgent relief from the courts. David has been counsel and co-counsel on numerous motions for summary judgment and appeals in connection with summary judgment including in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada in the leading Summary Judgment case of Hryniak v Mauldin.

 

David has practiced in Ontario, England, Bermuda, and Dubai. He also is admitted in New York State.
