Granite Claims Solutions Adjusters Denis Houle and Catherine Whiten Move to Halifax Branch

November 15th, 2013 – Greig Boyle, National Vice President of Operations, is pleased to announce the move of Denis Houle and Catherine Whiten to Granite Claims Halifax Branch.
Denis, previously based out of Montreal and Toronto, is a seasoned bilingual adjuster with over three decades of experience handling large complex liability and property claims specializing in E & O and construction losses. In particular, Denis has been one of Granite’s key players in the Lloyd’s market, particularly for Eastern Canada.
Catherine, previously based out of Toronto, is an experienced liability adjuster, focusing largely on complex professional, products, and medical liability claims. Catherine is also Granite’s National Specialty Line Leader for liability and brings a wealth of technical expertise to the East Coast.
“This move is a great strategic fit for Granite, who will see two great additions to our already top-notch team of Lori and Ed Morgan out east,” says Boyle. “This is a very exciting development, both for our Maritime operations as well as for Denis and Catherine.”
In addition to their adjusting capabilities, Denis and Catherine also act as Account Managers for some of Granite’s largest and most technical national programs.
Jean-Marc Laurin, VP of Operations for Quebec and Atlantic Canada, sees the addition of Denis and Catherine to the Halifax Branch as the next step for Granite in the Maritimes. “We have been steadily growing our footprint in Atlantic Canada, and the addition of two expert adjusters like Denis and Catherine, who will also work closely with Phil Pitre, Granite’s mainstay in New Brunwick, will serve to further diversify our service offering. We are very excited for our East Coast prospects for 2014 and onwards.”
