Granite Health Solutions awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation

Burlington, Ontario — January 8, 2014 — Granite Health Solutions LP has become the first stand alone independent medical evaluation firm in Canada to be accredited by CARF International (Commission in the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
Granite Health Solutions (including its independent operating brands of Sibley & Associates, MDAC and TRM) were accredited for three years for their Independent Evaluation Services (Adults) and Independent Evaluation Services (Children and Adolescents) programs.
CARF International is a nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. Its goal is to ensure that persons served remain at the centre of the service delivery process.
This accreditation represents the highest level that can be awarded to an organization and demonstrates GHS’ substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable and of the highest quality.
“CARF accreditation validates our commitment to clients and customers of the highest standards of health and safety and quality assessment processes”, said Ian Elliott, president of GHS.
“It also proves our adherence to the recommendations of the Ontario Anti-Fraud Task Force on ways to reduce insurance costs and fraud within the province. They have highlighted that companies that provide independent medical evaluations should have strict controls and principles – CARF’s standards are one of the highest in the world, and we conform,” he stated.
In addition to this ground breaking accreditation, Sibley & Associates and MDAC are also ISO certified.
