Quebec City – The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is pleased to announce that L’Unique General Insurance has obtained CSIO Certification for both Personal and Commercial Lines eDocs.

“L’Unique is proud to have achieved eDocs certification for its two business lines,” says Yves Gagnon, Vice-President, Sales and Development of L’Unique General Insurance. “We have now introduced the industry’s best practices in transmitting documents, as well as making life even easier for our brokers. In this age of digital technology, eDocs certification allows them to accommodate their clients’ preferences, increase their operational efficiency by automating a number of manual operations and send secure information to their clients. This is just another illustration of what the people behind a brokerage can do.”

Many broker partners of L’Unique General Insurance have been very positive about its recent eDocs certification. Here are a few examples:

“Using eDocs allows flexibility for meeting our clients’ needs. It’s much more environmentally friendly and who wants to receive unnecessary paper? Plus, documents are processed more quickly, which increases our operational efficiency. We no longer need to first scan documents for storing them in the client’s file. On top of that, we save money in mailing costs. It’s a winning combination,” says Caroline Harrison with the Groupe Lepelco.

Connie Ciccarello, with Ciccarello Assurances, is just as enthusiastic. “Our compliments to L’Unique. Using eDocs makes handling insurance policies easy. L’Unique deposits electronic documents directly into our BMS in batches. They are automatically filed into clients’ files. Plus the policies are in PDF and in colour. This amazing tool saves our brokers a lot of time, and they no longer have to send copies to clients by email.”

“Going with eDocs has been an important shift for our organization this last year, simplifying our daily work,” says Marie-Ève Lévesque, with Fortin Ouellet Assurances. “We are saving time, don’t have to handle paper and it’s easily accessible. Thanks for this great tool that we now couldn’t do without.”

CSIO Certification is available to member companies and vendors. eDocs for personal lines has been available for certification since September 2013, with the recent additions of eDocs for commercial lines and eDelivery as the second and third business activities available for certification.
