Newcom Media extends its insurance media leadership with acquisition of Canadian Insurance Top Broker magazine and the Top Broker Summit

TORONTO, Oct. 11, 2018 /insPRESS/ – Newcom Media Inc., one of Canada’s leading B2B media companies, is excited to announce its acquisition of Canadian Insurance Top Broker from TC Media.

The acquisition extends the market leadership already enjoyed by Newcom Media, which owns Canadian Underwriter – one of the country’s largest and most respected magazines serving the property and casualty insurance (P&C) segment – as well as Claims Canada magazine and i-Hire, an industry job board.

Founded in 1905 as Office & Field magazine, Canadian Insurance Top Broker is a national publication that helps leading brokers and other insurance professionals grow their businesses. The “CI Top Broker” family includes a monthly magazine, website, daily electronic newsletter, annual directories and the prestigious Top Broker Summit, an annual conference where high-performance brokers connect with leading insurance carriers.

Newcom Media’s acquisition of these properties, related content archives and subscriber lists, as well as other assets, will further strengthen its position in the market.

The transaction represents Newcom Media’s 4th acquisition since 2015. Just this year, the company acquired Today’s Bride and its related titles from Family Communications Inc., and formed a joint venture with Road Today magazine, creating the Newcom South Asian Media Co.

In September, Newcom Media made its second consecutive appearance on the Growth 500 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies, produced by Canadian Business.
