Origin & Cause Announces New Edmonton Office
Origin and Cause is excited to announce that we have opened a new office in Edmonton, Alberta! Due to the high volume of investigations we are asked to conduct in the region, the new location will better serve our Edmonton-area clients, and support our expansion in Western Canada.
Origin and Cause has developed an incredible reputation in the Canadian insurance industry for our quick turnaround time when it comes to attending scene investigations and getting reports to our clients. In order to maintain such high standards of service we have added two highly experienced forensic experts to our team, to spearhead the operations and investigations locally:
Kevin Wedick, Fire And Explosion Investigator
Kevin has conducted over 750 fire and explosion investigations through the course of his career, involving government agencies, the oil and gas industry, and the insurance industry throughout Western Canada. His investigative skills span from fatal fires and explosions to residential structural fires, commercial structural fires to vehicle and equipment fires. View Profile
Tim Cartmell, Forensic Structural Engineer
Tim specializes in structural forensic engineering, having conducted over 700 investigations in Western Canada through the course of his career. Tim uses his wealth of experience in forensic engineering and structural design to investigate reported causes of failure for validity, identifying the true causes of structural failures and collapses, evaluates structural integrity of failed structures for safe entry, and provides reconstruction designs for fire-damaged structures. Together they bring over 1000+ investigations’ worth of experience to the Edmonton branch, reporting to Ken Swan who is the Western Canada Manager of Origin and Cause.
