Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences appoints Mark Samis as Vice President, Environmental Services

Toronto – Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences (Pario), one of Canada’s top providers of engineering and environmental services, announced today that Mark Samis has accepted the position of Vice President, Environmental Services. Mr. Samis joined the Pario team in May of 2014, and his environmental and executive management experience make him an ideal choice for this position.
Mr. Samis has been involved in a large range of projects and roles in the environmental industry over his 30 year career. His experience includes holding senior technical and/or project management positions on numerous projects in Canada and the U.S. ranging in scope up to $10 million.
His technical experience includes spill response, Phase 1, 2, and 3 environmental site assessments, site remediation planning and design, waste management/landfill investigations and design, landfill site selection, landfill gas studies, water supply investigations, environmental impact assessments for land development, peer review, and subrogation support. His managerial roles have included project management of major environmental projects, some involving multiple technical disciplines.
He has also held the position of Vice President of Operations which included the business development and growth of an environmental consultancy to more than $26 million in annual revenues and 40 staff.
Most recently, he worked as Business Line Lead for a new emergency response offering in Canada. Mr. Samis also has vast expertise and knowledge of current environmental regulations. He is experienced with current guidelines pertaining to drinking water, surface water, groundwater, site remediation, peer review and subrogation support, brownfield site redevelopment, and waste management.
