Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences Enhances Expert Services and its Management Team

Toronto – Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences (Pario) has appointed three senior professionals to its team. Doug Tremblay, Managing Partner, announced that the firm has appointed Mark Milner as Vice President, Engineering; Peter Wills, Senior Structural Engineer and Manager, Barrie Office; and Shirley Niven, Forensic Engineer, Fire & Explosions.  

Mark Milner, P. Eng., BDS, Consulting Engineer Mr. Milner is a registered Professional Engineer in the provinces of Ontario (PEO) and Alberta (APEGA), and holds his Building Design Specialist designation, as well as his Consulting Engineer designation from PEO. He has been involved in steel structure design and construction for over 25 years. He has lead engineering teams during the design and manufacturing of steel structures, and is experienced in leading cause and origin investigations on large building structures and cranes. Mark has developed a keen understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities through his international experience.

Mark brings strong leadership to Pario through his experiences of building and managing his own company from the ground up, and being involved in the development and management of technical standards in a global engineering organization.

Peter Wills, P. Eng. Mr. Wills has over 20 years of structural design engineering and project management experience. He has been responsible for the project management, design, detailing, drafting, construction site review, and contract administration for numerous structural projects, as well as managing other multi-disciplined building projects. Mr. Wills has worked on a wide array of projects, including condition surveys, damage assessment and forensic investigations, new construction, renovations, additions in municipal, residential, commercial, institutional, recreational, and industrial building projects. He has also been involved in remediation and replacement of numerous transportation structures (bridges, culverts, retaining walls). Mr. Wills has been involved in all facets of construction from design through commissioning of buildings and transportation structures and buried municipal infrastructure. 

Peter will be leading and managing our Pario branch office located in Barrie, Ontario, where he has been living and servicing the local market for the past 15 years.

Shirley Niven, P. Eng., CFEI, WFBS Ms. Niven brings her Fire & Explosion experience to Pario. She holds the unique credentials of being a Wildland Fire Behaviour Specialist, certified by the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, and certified Wildland Fire Investigator, completing her FI-210 Wildland Fire Investigation course at the Wyoming Fire Academy. Shirley’s work with the oil & gas sector, partnered with her Alberta court experience as a Forensic Expert Witness, further positions Pario along its path to national coverage. Shirley is also proficient in French and will be working alongside Mr. James Page, P.Eng., and Mr. Ryan Cockle, P.Eng., as part of the Cause & Origin team.
