Toronto- Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences (Pario), one of Canada’s top providers of engineering and environmental services, announced today that it has launched a new branch location in Thunder Bay, Ontario, to better serve clients in that region. Mr. David DelZotto is now Project Manager and Fire Investigator of this new location effective April 12, 2016. David is an experienced and multi-talented spill response project manager and fire investigator; his addition to the team represents an important expansion to Pario’s geographic footprint and offerings to better serve clients in the region.

As an emergency response project manager, David has directed emergency response and spill remediation projects in Central Canada from North Bay, Ontario to Brandon, Manitoba; he has also worked in the United States on projects in Wisconsin and Michigan. He has extensive experience responding to spill sites, directing the contractors to mitigate the scenes, remediating the impacts, controlling and documenting costs, and successfully closing files. Thanks to his years of professional experience in Northwestern Ontario and Manitoba, he has developed excellent working relationships with representatives of the Ontario Ministry of Environment and Climate, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship, and Environment Canada, thereby facilitating interactions with these key regulators. He has successfully managed a wide variety of spills from small, routine releases to large and complicated scenes that have required his level of training and expertise.

As a fire investigator, David has developed a solid reputation in the region for his fast response, attention to detail, and client focus. He has both the required and additional training and certifications for his designation (NFPA 921, NFPA 427, NFPA – 472, NFPA -Firefighter 1, NFPA -Company Officer 1, NFPA -Fire Services Instructor 1, OFM Trainer Facilitator). He has maintained excellent working relationships with the OFMEM and the fire departments in Northern Ontario, which serves as an asset in conducting scene investigations.

David is also well known by, and has developed strong working relationships with, the independent insurance adjusters in the region, which is a valuable asset for both the spill response and fire investigation disciplines.

Pario identified Thunder Bay as a key location for those clients seeking high quality forensic and environmental expertise in the region. This location is situated along the Trans-Canada highway and many of Pario’s transportation clients will now have local support to manage and control the costs of environmental spills.

“The opening of this location aligns with Pario’s commitment to provide our clients with high quality and consistent forensic engineering and environmental services at a competitive cost across the nation,” said Doug Tremblay, P.Eng., MBA, Managing Partner for Pario. “This strategy not only involves having offices local to the region but also ensuring those offices have top talent with a strong customer service focus. David DelZotto’s vast experience and skills are a great addition and we look forward to building on them with the addition of other services.”
