LONDON, ON, Nov. 6, 2017 /insPRESS/ – In memory of Peter McConville, St. Joseph’s Hospice received a joint $10,000 donation from Economical Insurance, one of Canada’s leading providers of home, auto, and business insurance, and its broker partner May-McConville-Omni Insurance Brokers (M2O).
“As the President of M2O, Peter was well known and respected in the London business community,” said Ed Meiering, CEO of M2O. “During his courageous fight against cancer, he expressed deep gratitude to those who helped him through his palliative journey at St. Joseph’s Hospice, and hoped that others would be able to experience the same compassionate support he received during his stay there.”
“This generous donation from Economical and M2O will help us provide compassionate care, day programs, education, and empowerment to individuals with a life-limiting illness and their families,” said John Callaghan, CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospice. “Coping with a palliative illness can be a trying time for both patients and their families. That’s why we believe it’s important that quality end-of-life care is provided in the community to help them through this difficult time in their lives.”
