QBE Services builds new office in Vancouver – David Edgar takes on new role as General Manager, Western Region

QBE Services Inc. are pleased to announce the signing of a lease in the new MNP office tower at 1021 West Hastings Street Vancouver. The office will have capacity for 16 staff with intended occupancy at August 1, 2015.

The search for a General Manager to be based in Toronto will commence immediately.

David Edgar comments: “More than 70% of the company’s Canadian branch business is underwritten from the Toronto location and it requires the attention of a full time General Manager”.

The Canadian branch operations of QBE are currently in the 4th year of the 5 year plan. The business has evolved from a start up to a successful mature branch of the European Operation. The focus of the business locally has been its core products including general liability, commercial property, construction all risk, auto fleet and professional indemnity. Mr. Edgar comments “I am extremely pleased with the success of the Canadian branch team and give all the credit to the clients and brokers that support us.”
