Rochon Engineering Welcomes Jessica Reid P. Eng. as Forensic Engineer, Civil/Structural Division

Concord, Ontario – Rochon Engineering, a division of SCM Insurance Services, announced today that it has appointed Jessica Reid as Forensic Engineer for their Civil/Structural Division.

Jessica brings over 15 years of experience in the Building Science and Restoration Construction Industry. Her projects have included failure identification, condition assessment, and remedial strategy development for various sizes and construction of buildings. Jessica has developed successful claims and defences for a variety of insurance claims and litigious actions. She has also prepared numerous capital repair budgets and cost projections for both new and existing buildings.

Jessica’s specializations include concrete material assessment and Barrier-Free Accessibility for the built environment. She also has extensive experience working with and understanding the nuances of the condominium sector. Jessica was involved with construction safety in the public sector and rail infrastructure while working at the Union Station Train Shed redevelopment project in downtown Toronto and is fluent in construction safety standards and constructor responsibilities.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor and is a Professional Engineer licensed with the Association of Professional Engineers Ontario.

Having dealt with a wide variety of building systems and materials, Jessica has developed a broad knowledge base and a multi-faceted approach to assessment and repair and is pleased to be part of the Rochon team.
