ServiceMaster Restore of Fraser Valley Says Thanks and Raises $5997 for Matthews House

On September 10, 2015 brokers, claims managers, adjusters, property managers, sub-trades, staff and their families gathered at ServiceMaster Restore of Fraser Valley for a day of thanks. Owners Ed and Linda Dyck held a customer appreciation carnival to thank everyone for their continued support. “It was great to see our staff, clients, and trades getting together and often meeting one another for the first time, finally putting a face to a name,” said owner Linda Dyck.

The day involved games like Pie-the-PM, prizes, entertainment and a silent auction with all proceeds going to Matthew’s House, a respite care home for children living with complex care needs. The Fraser Valley community has not only supported ServiceMaster Restore for the 19 years it’s been in business, it came together and raised $5997 at the event for the charity. This vital resource was the dream of Doug and Andrea Froese. Complications during his birth left their son Matthew completely dependent on others for every aspect of daily living. Matthew was deeply loved and supported by family and friends so his parents sought to honour that legacy of love by supporting other families like theirs.

Through their vision, a home away from home where families could experience rest was established. On hand from Matthew’s House was Alan Cavin, Resource Development Coordinator and Roy Fisher, Facilities/Operations Director. ServiceMaster Restore of Fraser Valley has been supporting the local charity that helps families in the region in which they live and work since 2012. Ed Dyck summed up the day by saying, “To be able to hold an event to say thank you to our supporters as well as give to a great local cause was just awesome!”
