ServiceMaster Restore of Kapuskasing Supports Hospital Fundraiser

Kapuskasing, ON, Dec. 13, 2019/Inspress/ – Not only did the community of Kapuskasing exceed their fundraising goal of $1.7 million for their CT scan campaign, they achieved in just 78 days. This was made possible by the support of local businesses like ServiceMaster Restore of Kapuskasing who presented a cheque for $30,000 to the Sensenbrenner Hospital for the campaign.

“With a fundraiser like this, which will benefit the entire region, there was no question that we wanted to contribute,” says Pierre Gelinas, owner of ServiceMaster Restore of Kapuskasing. His son and business partner, Yves, who was by his side when presenting the cheque commented, “The CT scan can affect anyone – your family, your friends or your co-workers. They may not need it today or tomorrow but one day it could make a difference in a life.”

Sensenbrenner Hospital serves residents who live in the communities of Kapuskasing, Fauquier/Strickland, Moonbeam, Val-Rita/Harty and Opasatika. Patients requiring a CT scan travel upwards of two hours to the nearest hospital in Timmins. This addition not only cuts down on travel time, but more importantly it increases the speed of care.
