SOMA Medical Assessments Corp. announces George Georgiou as new Vice President of Business Development

SOMA Medical Assessments is pleased to welcome George Georgiou to the role of Vice President, Business Development. George is a Master’s Graduate from McMaster University, with an extensive sixteen year background in the insurance industry and expertise in the Medical Legal, Accident Benefits and Disability sectors.
During the past 10 years, George has focused his efforts on building strong working relationships directly with insurers, medical professionals, and lawyers in previous roles within the assessment industry. Known for his hands-on approach and solutions-based philosophy, he is a true market leader in providing superior customer service and quality products within the field of independent medical evaluations.
Prior to pursuing his career in Business Development, George spent several years as a Claims Adjuster investigating and handling accident benefits, bodily injury and property damage files. His diverse knowledge base covers numerous revisions of the SABS regulations within the Province of Ontario and applicable legislations throughout other jurisdictions within Canada.
Working alongside Mark Wigle, SOMA’s National Director of Business Development, George’s primary responsibility within the SOMA team will be the development and maintenance of existing and new business relationships at national, regional and local levels. Using his proven collaborative approach in providing customized, cost effective IME solutions to multiple market segments, George is an important addition in helping to position SOMA to adapt to the changing needs of our clients.
