STRONE Declared One of Canadas Best Managed Companies for Second Year in a Row

(Oakville, Ontario) – STRONE, a winner of Canada’s Best Managed Companies program in 2013, has requalified in 2014 to maintain its status as a Best Managed company. Established in 1993, Canada’s Best Managed Companies is the country’s leading business awards program, recognizing excellence in Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $10 million.
After rapid growth in 2012 with acquisitions of Itech Precision Cleaning Inc. (Brantford, ON) and TCR of Muskoka (Bracebridge, ON), the restoration and remediation professionals continued growth in 2013. “It was important for us to increase our service levels early in 2013,” states Steve Blinco, Co-CEO Support Services. “We were able to do that effectively with a new branch in Belleville, Ontario and the purchase of Les Entreprises Rénovaneuf in Montreal (Candiac), Quebec.”
The growth escalated in the summer when catastrophic flooding hit Southern Alberta and the GTA hard in June and July. “We made the decision early to lend assistance in Alberta as the need was overwhelming,” comments Neil Blinco, Co-CEO Sales & Marketing. “You can’t help but get emotional when you’re on the ground and speaking to those impacted directly by the devastation.” STRONE has gone on to set up a new corporately operated branch in Calgary while increasing staff in GTA branches as rebuild efforts continue.
