Toronto resident wins 2016 Chevy Equinox in Select Sweepstakes

TORONTO, ON — When Mary Yin of CUPE Local 4400 picked up the phone to call National Brokers Insurance Services for a car insurance quote, she wasn’t expecting to win a car. Today, her life changed when she was presented the keys to a shiny new 2016 Chevy Equinox as a vehicle winner in the Select Sweepstakes. The presentation took place this morning at Roy Foss Cadillac Chevrolet Buick GMC in Vaughan.

“This is a big milestone for me. It’s my dream car,” said Ms. Yin, an ESL instructor with the Toronto District School Board. “It was such a surprise. I was shocked. I’m not usually so lucky. I’ve never had a new car before. They’ve always been hand-me-down cars that friends or family didn’t want any more. Now we can take a lot more family road trips in the summer, and there will be a lot more room in the car for everyone. I’m really happy.”

The Select Sweepstakes campaign is run in partnership between Economical Select, one of Canada’s leading providers of group car and home insurance, and 73 insurance brokers across Canada, offering eligible group members an opportunity to win great prizes[1]. As a member of CUPE 4400, Ms. Yin was eligible for exclusive group pricing in addition to being entered into the Select Sweepstakes.
