Unica remains a Full Partner of the Broker Identity Program for 2014

August 27, 2014   by Canadian Underwriter magazine

The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) is pleased to announce that Unica Insurance Inc. (Unica) has maintained its support of the Broker Identity Program at the Full Partner level.

The Program’s centre-piece is the BIP symbol known as the BIPPER. The symbol captures the value that insurance brokers bring their clients: choice, coverage, security and peace of mind. By investing in the program, Unica supports a campaign whose purpose is to raise awareness of the value of the insurance broker distribution network.

“Unica is a proud supporter of the Broker Identity Program and we are pleased to continue as a Full Partner,” said Martin Delage, President and COO of Unica. “This Program highlights the professionalism of the broker distribution channel and the value they bring to consumers. We encourage brokers to avidly communicate to their clients and prospective clients the value proposition they deliver on a daily basis of expert advice, broad choice, indepth coverage knowledge and claims advocacy,” added Delage.

IBAC Chief Executive Officer Dan Danyluk added: “Unica has a long and well-established history and is a valuable partner to its brokers. Unica realizes the advisory role brokers play in dealing with consumers by providing unbiased, informed, and experienced knowledge in the insurance marketplace.”

Launched 26 years ago, the mission of the Broker Identity Program is to promote the value and professionalism of the insurance broker to consumers, insurers and governments. It is a branding campaign for over 35,000 insurance brokers.
