BELMONT, ON, May 1, 2018 /insPRESS/ – Westminster Mutual Insurance Company (WMIC) introduces automobile and property online quoting to its brokers, agents and consumers through partnership with Mutual Concept Computer Group Inc. (MCCG).  Westminster’s solution, https://onlinequote.wmic.ca, guarantees the consumer has ease of access to Westminster’s agents and broker distribution channels, while ensuring this digital consumer receives the professional insurance advice they require.  The solution delivers an easy to use method of obtaining a personal insurance quotation for automobile and property, while preserving their anonymity until they have decided to move forward with their sales professional of choice.  With OQS directly accessing the rating and underwriting rules contained within WMIC’s system, the Insurance Business Solution (IBS®), the user experience is fast and reliable. This online approach by WMIC provides an effective means for consumers to digitally initiate the sales process with an agent or broker of their choice. This is a continuation of Westminster’s digital strategy development as it is recognized that consumers are becoming more connected in all areas of their lives.

“This provides the best of both worlds, fast and easy to use self-serve for the digital consumer with access to our great insurance professional network.  We know consumers are looking more and more for ways to simplify their lives, while still getting that personal, professional service.  At Westminster, we’re excited by how easy it is to use this product, and anticipate it will help drive leads to our brokers and agents.  The fact that it links directly into our existing rating engine and platform, means that we have complete control, which ensures accuracy for the consumer and sales channel.  We know that the majority of consumers begin their ‘shopping’ experience online now, and that anonymity is also important to the consumer.  We believe the digital approach provided by the OQS to consumers aligns with these needs.  Westminster continues to leverage technology for the benefits of our policyholders, brokers, agents and team and MCCG is a big partner in helping us move forward.”, stated Christine Van Daele, CEO of Westminster Mutual.

“We’re very excited by the strong uptake of the OQS solution by our mutual community.  It’s a pleasure working with companies like Westminster Mutual as they understand the need to keep pace with consumer demands and that the proper psychology of the digital experience is required, in order to reap the benefits of technology solution.  Having been at a number of conferences across the Mutual Insurance industry, this is a common theme of service that has now extended into the digital consumer experience.  The dedication of both Westminster and our team ensured we delivered the project on time and on budget.  Our team is proud of the work we do with Westminster and our mutual community, and we’re continuing to deliver further innovations to the digital consumer and user experience for our community”, said Jon Perry, Vice President – Client Relations of MCCG.
