ClaimsPro’s Specialty Risk Division (SRD) Appoints Richard G. Smith as Vice President, Central Region

Seeking to further enhance the leadership of its team of Executive General Adjusters and Senior General Adjusters, ClaimsPro, Canada’s largest independent adjusting company, announced that it has appointed Richard G. Smith as Vice President, Central Region of ClaimsPro’s Specialty Risk Division (SRD). A highly-specialized division of the company, ClaimsPro SRD exclusively handles complex/commercial and industrial losses.

Mr. Smith joins the SRD as a highly-regarded professional with more than 30 years of experience in Commercial, Industrial, Property, Marine, and General Aviation adjusting in North America, Europe, and throughout the Middle East.

Mr. Smith has the credentials and experience inherent to a team member of the ClaimsPro SRD. He has led large commercial and industrial CAT teams as they have responded to hurricanes, earthquakes, and other significant events throughout the United States. He has also assessed damages resulting from riots, civil unrest, and terrorist activity in Northern Ireland, assisted the United Nations with war reparations in Kuwait, and served as the Lead Adjuster in substantial aspects of the World Financial Center losses following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. In addition to his diverse adjusting experience, Mr. Smith is an electronics engineer, and his expertise in this area aids him in handling multi-faceted Commercial Engineering, Mining, and Technical Industrial losses.

In his position as Vice President, Central Region for the Specialty Risk Division, Mr. Smith will oversee the SRD team in that area of the country and serve as the lead SRD Adjuster in Ontario.
