Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc. Assisting with Claims Following Severe Windstorm Damage in Newfoundland

March 15, 2017   by Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc.

Toronto – Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc. is responding to claims following Saturday’s severe windstorms in Labrador and parts of Newfoundland, resulting in damaged property and rampant power outages.

With blizzard warnings still in effect for parts of eastern Labrador and the west shore of Newfoundland, Crawford’s adjusters across Newfoundland and the Company’s national Catastrophe Response Team are prepared to address a rise in claims and have arranged emergency protocols.

According to Environment Canada, this is the most powerful storm the province has been in over a decade. With winds raging up to 160 km/h, the blizzard has resulted in damaged roofs, overturned vehicles, as well as thousands with power.

“Crawford’s adjusters are equipped to offer their immediate assistance to impacted areas,” said Shelley Landry, Director, Operations, Atlantic Region. “Our contact centre is already responding to an influx of calls and will address claims promptly.”

Crawford will be issuing market updates as information becomes available. For further information and assistance, please contact:
