Website
CIAA’s latest online product includes new functional elements making for a more dynamic menu and user-friendly site. Content in the “members only” section provides a valuable technical and educational reference/ resource tool.
Members are reminded to visit the website ( www.ciaa-adjusters.ca)for information on our affinity programs. CIAA has a partnership with Esso Imperial Oil and with the rising gas prices a better discount offering has been negotiated. The greater the program participation, the better potential for a superior discounted rate.
Advocacy
In October 2006, the Canadian Independent Adjusters’ Association (CIAA) Ontario Chapter agreed to relieve the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) of the administrative obligations involving the oral examination licensing requirement for independent adjusters in the province. For the last two years, CIAA members have shouldered the additional responsibility involved in implementing the resources required ensuring a seamless transition. Consequently, CIAA is now compelled to increase the cost for the examination entrance fee. As of Jan. 1, 2009 the Ontario Oral Licensing Examination application fee will be $500 with a $250 credit for CIAA members.
