The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) has named David Patrick as interim CEO. He is former senior vice president, insurance solutions and services with CGI.

Aviva has appointed Patrick Snowball group executive director, general insurance. The company’s general insurance business in Canada, Ireland and Asia will report to Snowball.

Disaster Kleenup International (Canada) Ltd. welcomes Kyle Urech as director of business development. Urech has been involved with the insurance industry for 10 years, working with service and software providers.

Optimum General Inc.announces the appointment of Louis Pontbriand as senior vice president and CFO. Former CFO Andre Nadon will remain senior vice president and becomes the designated valuation actuary of all Optimum subsidiaries.

John Kerr has been named director, insurance risk at the Bank of Montreal. This follows his career as manager of accounting & administration at the Canadian Universities Reciprocal Insurance Exchange.
