AIG president, CEO and chairman Maurice “Hank” Greenberg is retiring. Greenberg will be replaced as CEO and president by current vice chair and co-COO Martin J. Sullivan, while fellow co-COO Donald P. Kanak will take over the full COO role and become executive vice chair. Lead board director Frank G. Zarb will become interim chair. Steven J. Bensinger will become CFO, treasurer and comptroller, following the departure of long-time CFO Howard Smith.

Odyssey Re Holdings Corp. has named Robert Giammarco as executive vice president and CFO. Giammarco was formerly a managing director with Banc of America, where he focused on the insurance sector. In that position, he worked with Odyssey Re on its June 2001 initial public offering. Current CFO Charles Troiano will retire after a transition period.
