Catastrophe Response Unit (CRU) will be hosting the final in our 2014 series of Earthquake Response Seminars for Property and Casualty insurance executives. The event will be held at the Toronto Trump Hotel on Monday October 6th. The complimentary seminar will start with a 7:30 breakfast followed by presentations from industry experts and ending at 9:30 with a chance for you to ask all your questions and get answers from the presenters.

The focus for the seminar is the sharing of the unique Canadian issues regarding current earthquake modeling and appreciating the challenges that will potentially disrupt an effective and realistic insurance company response plan.  At the same time OSFI’s expectations of Claims Executives have never been higher. Is your company meeting those expectations?

The presentations will include the most recent IBC study as well as scientific discussions lead by Dr Kristy Tiampo from the Institute of Catastrophic Loss Reduction (ICLR).  Industry executive, Carol Jardine will share the expectations and compliance needs of senior insurance company executives in this world of increasing risk.

The topics will assist attendees to evaluate their organization beyond the “traditional” catastrophe preparations that have been recently challenged by increasing Climate change related weather events, and assist in your preparations to meet the needs and expectations of today’s customers.
