Steven D. Johnson has been named CEO of the Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet).
Johnson has held staff leadership roles in five associations over the last 26 years. Most recently, he was executive director of the National Association of Quick Printers.
Johnson succeeds Rick Morgan, who had served over the last 10 months as interim CEO.
Johnson immediately brings to ASCnet experience working with entrepreneurial business owners, said Parry Becker, vice president at Langhorne, Pa.-based William B. Parry & Son, Ltd.
Becker noted Johnson has skills in staff and volunteer leadership; meeting and trade show management; financial management; strategic planning and implementation; membership recruitment and retention; internal and external communication; new program development and marketing.
Johnson’s experience in leading associations through transition times will be vital as ASCnet moves its headquarters to a new location in suburban Chicago later this year, Becker noted.
