Aviva Canada introduces portfolio transfer solution

Brokers transferring business to Aviva Canada can now use a software platform from iter8 designed to reduce time and effort.

The communic8 service will allow a broker management system to identify policies for upload, which are then transported to Aviva via the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO). Iter8 software collects the information and then populates core systems at Aviva.

This represents another concrete step towards ensuring our brokers are provided with a broad range of technologies to help them and help Aviva serve current and prospective customers,” said Greg Somerville, Aviva’s executive vice president of broker distribution. “Historically, portfolio transfer has been a manual, labour intensive, time-consuming process for our brokers, and we’re pleased to be able to change that.”

Aviva has used iter8’s communic8 platform for eight years for CSIO EDI downloads and comparative rater integration, recently expanding the service to broker portfolio transfer.
