BFL Canada and Kansas City-based Lockton have formed an alliance to serve clients in North America.
BFL Canada is Canada’s largest independent commercial insurance broker and Lockton is the world’s largest privately held insurance broker, according to a news release issued by Lockton.
Lockton and BFL Canada executives said the alliance is built on shared values, culture and business models. BFL Canada will support Lockton client needs in Canada and Lockton will support BFL Canada client needs globally.
“Given the growth of BFL Canada over the past few years and the demands brought by our larger clients, it really did become necessary to seek out and align ourselves with a global player,” said Barry F. Lorenzetti, president and CEO of BFL Canada. “This will offer our clients an even wider array of options and services going forward,” he stated.
Tim Higgins, executive vice president of global client services for Lockton, said BFL Canada would help Lockton maintain its global reach.
“BFL Canada has a tremendous reputation and a significant operational footprint across Canada and our clients have been delighted with their performance as we have started to work together during the past 12 months,” he said.
