Brokerage quotes and binds small business insurance online

A Mississauga, Ontario-based brokerage, Bullfrog Insurance Ltd., announced Tuesday it will quote and bind coverage for some small businesses over the Internet.

The brokerage stated its online quote and bind service targets contractors, retailers, healthcare and office professionals. Policies can be purchased by credit card. Coverages offered include liability, property and auto, among others.

Bullfrog’s insurance partners include Aviva Insurance Company of Canada, The Guarantee Company of North America, Northbridge Insurance and South Western Group.

“Although many small businesses need it, liability insurance coverage isn’t a simple one-size-fits-all proposition,” Bullfrog stated in a release. “Different businesses have specific needs depending upon their products and services, location, and whether they conduct commerce online.”

Clients wanting an online quote can fill out a questionnaire using the Bullfrog website.

“Individuals with businesses that aren’t within the healthcare, office, retail or contracting field can also begin a quote online and purchase their policy over the phone,” Bullfrog stated.

Those who purchase insurance online can receive their policies electronically as soon as the purchase is completed and can select the dates those policies take effect.

Business managers who obtain online quotes can compare by cost, though there may be variations among policies – such as whether there is an abuse exclusion or fiduciary liability exclusion, or deductibles for earthquake, sewer backup and flood, among others.
